The annual Narrabri District Cricket Association charity cup match was contested between Town Heat and Country Thunder on Friday night at Collins Park.
For the second year in a row the Town men got the job done.
Town won its first charity cup T20 match last year when it smashed Country by 71 runs to end a three-match winless streak.
This year’s match was much closer, with Thunder falling just six runs short of the required total.
Thunder skipper Chris Sargent won the toss and sent Town into bat.
The Heat reached 131 for the loss of nine wickets from its 20 overs.
In reply the Thunder could only make 8-126.
Town’s innings was boosted by a 51-run knock from Jarrett Tough, before Hamish Duncan took 3-7 from two overs to help the side’s defence.
The second Town v Country junior super 10 match was contested at Collins Park before the main game.
Country won that contest by 22 runs.
