Twelve Narrabri Stingrays swimmers competed at the Tamworth City Swimming Club’s 2019 qualifying carnival which was held on Saturday and Sunday, January 5 and 6.

Harrison Bennett was again the standout among the local swimmers at the carnival, continuing what has been an extremely successful season for the 12-year-old.

Harry, the son of Anne and Garry Bennett, competed in 11 events and won 10 gold medals.

His results were – first in 11-12-years 200m individual medley, first in 12-years 50m butterfly, first in 12-years 50m breaststroke, first in open 200m butterfly, first in 11-12-years 100m backstroke, first in 11-12-years 100m freestyle, first in 12-years 50m freestyle, first in 12-years 50m backstroke, first in boys 11-12-years 100m butterfly, and first in 11-12-years 100m breaststroke.
